At the 2018 Business H2O Water Innovation Summit, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey spoke about the importance of creating a responsible and equitable Drought Contingency Plan to ensure continued economic growth in Arizona. Ducey emphasized that stakeholders must reach a consensus, and committed he will include an extra $30 million in the state budget to ensure the plan is completed.
